Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Weigh Safe, True Tow weight distribution shank. Now this shank is going to slide into your 2 1/2 inch hitch receiver and give you the attachment point for your weight distribution system's head assembly. Now this is designed for use with the Weigh Safe True Tow hitches with either an 8,500 pound or a 12,500 pound gross towing weight. And let me go ahead and get my tape measure out here.
And I just wanted to give you some overall measurements. So looking at the overall height, we're sitting pretty close to 14 1/2 inches tall. And then the overall length from end to end, right at about 11 inches long. Now this does have a maximum tongue of, maximum gross towing weight rather, of 12,500 pounds. And then the maximum tongue weight is 1200 pounds.
This is going to give you a maximum drop in this position of 10 inches. And then when you flip this over, it's gonna give you a maximum rise of 11 inches. And the height adjustment is incremental by 1 1/4 inches. The pinhole diameter is 5/8 of an inch, and this does feature a high strength steel, which is sturdy. It's durable, and this is directly from Weigh Safe.
So you can trust that this is going to work without any compatibility issues or fitment issues or anything with your True Tow hitch, with your True Tow weight distribution system, either the 8,500 pound or the 12,500 pound. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
